FASHION DESIGNING:
Fashion designers help develop the huge dresses, meets, footwear, and other clothes and components purchased every year by consumers. Manufacturers study products, make styles of clothes and components, select colors and materials, and oversee the final production of their styles. Clothes designers develop and help create men's, could, and kids outfits, including casual wear, meets, sportswear, formalwear, jackets, pregnancy, and personal outfits. Shoes designers help develop and create different styles of sneakers. Equipment designers help develop and create items such as handbags, devices, jewelry, less difficult, pantyhose, and eyewear, which add the finish variations to an outfit. (The work of dealers and precious stone and metal workers is described elsewhere in the Guide.) Some style designers specialize in clothing, footwear, or accessory design, but others develop styles in all three style categories.
ADVANCEMENT:
Beginning manufacturers usually begin out as structure manufacturers or sketching staff for more skilled manufacturers before developing to advanced jobs. Experienced manufacturers may advance to primary designer, layout section head, or another supervisory position. Some manufacturers may begin their own layout company, or sell their styles in their own suppliers. A few of the most successful manufacturers can work for high-fashion layout homes that offer personal layout services to abundant customers.
